Direct from some of Italy's most passionate local growers. Extra virgin olive oil from the Esposito family olive groves. Passata di Pomodoro made by the Greci brothers. Buffalo mozzarella from Campania. Puglian Wines.
Our passion for finding the best ingredients led us to olive-growing brothers Luca and Giuseppe Esposito, from Puglia in southern Italy. They insist on picking and pressing their olives within twenty-four hours of harvest. Their olive oil is so good we want to share it, so now you can buy it in our restaurants.
There is so much about Italy to love and we want to infuse all our team members with a passion for Italy. So with help from our renowned friend Carla Capalbo we give everyone an 'Italian Education'. It's all sorts of things... Master classes. Wine tasting. Even trips to Italy. But not everyone on the team is Italian, just warm, natural, real and totally passionate about making your ASK Italian experience great.
Some say you can judge the quality of a restaurant from its tomato sauce. Well, we're pretty proud of ours. It's made by brothers Giorgio and Gilberto Greci in Emilia Romagna whose family has been canning tomatoes since the beginning of the 1900s.
Every August we visit to celebrate harvest time and to see how the ripest, reddest tomatoes are picked, peeled, chopped and canned to make our passata di pomodoro. See how it happens in the video.
Hear from Giuseppe Vajra (one of our expert suppliers) about the passion that goes into making his families wines.
I'm proud to be helping the team at ASK Italian to develop an Italian inspired menu
We continue to evolve our menu with the inspired help of Theo Randall - one of the country's most celebrated chefs and one of our expert friends. Classic new dishes, fresh authentic Italian tastes.
We also work with Master of Wine, Adrian Garforth who has helped us develop a new 100% Italian wine list that perfectly complements our food.
