Have you tried the latest addition to the ASK Italian pizza family? Our new Alto pizzas host a beautifully fluffy, thicker base studded with olives and tomatoes, which provides the perfect cushion for some seriously special ingredients. Like burrata, the creamier cousin of mozzarella.
Burrata, which translates from Italian as ‘buttery’, is a cheese that definitely takes our love for mozzarella to the next level; a mozzarella shell envelops a perfectly soft centre of curd and cream. Originating from the Apulia region in southern Italy (the heel of the boot), this cheese is often paired with simple flavours, light wines and -of course, with friends and family to eat it with!
For us, burrata’s simple and delicate presence is a true headliner for our Alto selection; its rich and buttery flavour is perfectly carried with the Greci brothers’ tomato sauce and black olives of the Alto base. A handful of fresh basil, a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a twist of black pepper finish this pizza with perfection.
Classic. Simple. Beautiful. Ladies and Gentlemen, please be upstanding and rise for the Alto Burrata.
